Candles, diffusers, sprays: a format for every new creation

A new home creation can take several forms, depending on how you want to scent a room. A scented candle sets an atmosphere the moment it is lit, over a limited area and for a chosen moment. A reed diffuser works continuously, with no gesture required, which makes it the right answer for an entryway or a hallway. A room spray refreshes a space in a single mist, before guests arrive for instance. Scented oils and lamp refills let you adjust the intensity of the diffusion, while reed diffuser refills extend a fragrance without replacing the object itself. A Luxury of Substance

What sets a new Nicolaï creation apart has less to do with its release date than with what it holds. An independent, family-run house founded in 1989 by Patricia de Nicolaï, Nicolaï composes its fragrances in its Palais-Royal laboratory in Paris, and applies the same standard of raw materials from perfume worn on the skin to fragrance diffused through a space. This is the very meaning of a luxury of substance: accords built to last, never designed for a single season.
