What is an amber perfume?
An amber perfume is built around the amber accord, a warm blend of resins such as labdanum and benzoin, often paired with vanilla, balsams and spices. Long called oriental, this family evokes warmth, envelopment and a certain sensuality. These are fragrances of character, bold in presence and long in trail, that reveal themselves fully on the skin. Every formula is composed in-house by Patricia de Nicolaï, in the laboratory at the Palais-Royal in Paris, before each bottle is assembled by hand in France and finished with a gold thread and a wax seal.
